Run, run, just as fast as you can! Can’t catch me, I’m the Pizza Man!
Okay, that made no sense, and perhaps sending out a review for The Pizza Man the day before Thanksgiving makes no sense either. After all, isn’t everyone thinking of pumpkin pie and turkey drumsticks and stuffing?
Then again, once we’re done stuffing, and stuffing, and stuffing . . . the thought of sizzling pizza instead of leftovers and still more cornbread stuffing DOES sound appealing.
Enter The Pizza Man. Located in Clover, on Hwy 55 near the junction of Main Street, this spacious establishment serves up your favorite Italian pie,plus buffalo wings, stromboli and calzone.
One of my favorite things about the Pizza Man restaurant isn’t even the food! The place has several pool tables, video games, and even a skee ball game. So you can order your pizza, shoot some pool, and enjoy your time while the pizza is baking. (Not a bad way to escape from all those houseguests who are staying at your house, should the need arise.)
The pizza is tasty when it is piping hot out of the oven. It reminds me of Tony’s Pizza that used to be in Lake Wylie and may or may not still be in Tega Cay. In fact, I think they use the same recipe.
Hand tossed before your eyes, with fresh ingredients and very reasonable prices, it is a fantastic choice over chain-store pizza. Toppings are very traditional; you won’t find anything too exotic.
Located at 107 Bethel Street in Clover, open every day at 4pm. Closes 9pm on weekdays, 11pm weekends.
