I love Christopher’s Bar and Grill. I can’t believe I haven’t written a blog about it yet! One of our favorite “go to” places at the last minute, Christopher’s is consistently a great choice for good food, friendly service, and familiar faces all around.
If you’re from the Lake Wylie area, it might be impossible to go to Christopher’s without seeing at least one person that you know. The patio is usually hopping at night (though a bit deserted on really, really hot days).
Christopher’s menu has a good selection of casual fare – - wraps, chicken wings (most excellent), hoagies, and of course Christopher’s Famous Burgers!!
I don’t think it is on the menu anymore, but at one time there was a 3 pound burger, a huge monstrosity that took at least three Real Men to consume. Any restaurant that even attempts such an offering has got to be serious about their burgers, yes?
Did I mention that Christopher’s is a sports bar? Other than the TV’s tuned to ESPN, and all of the sports memorabilia, the menu supports the theme with such items as the Tailgate Burger (BBQ sauce , sauteed mushrooms, and onions), the Stadium Burger (pickles, mustard & ketchup), and the Panther Burger (chili, onions, lettuce & tomato).
I have many favorites at Christopher’s – Cajun Chicken Alfredo is delicious; the Grilled Shrimp & Veggie wrap is good and good for me; the Jalapeno Cheese Steak Wrap is oh so fine; and the O*M*G Chicken Hoagie just has a great name.
Christopher’s has a great name as well. It truly is, as advertised, “A Meeting Place of Friends.” Great food, great fun, great times.
